Logan Paul's Botches Force Rey Mysterio to Break Kayfabe Mid-Match on Raw

The WWE Universe was yet again reminded of why Logan Paul has been a revelation inside the squared circle on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. The celebrity influencer turned pro-wrestler awed the audiences watching both at home and live in Nashville, Tennessee with a couple of moves that might put the average AEW "smark" to shame. Bodyslamming Rey Mysterio while doing a moonsault at the same time? Introducing a new finisher that looks cooler than most moves on TV these days? Logan did it all, and the sea of boos he is usually drowned in soon turned into a quiet acknowledgement from the crowd.

But our job as unbiased critics of the art is not to parrot what the entire internet might be saying. Fortunately or unfortunately, we need to nitpick the little moments that often escape even the most trained eye. One such moment caught our attention in the early minutes of this week's Raw main event.

Rey Mysterio caught schooling Logan Paul mid match?

For those who watched the match live, the first few minutes were definitely not easy. Logan botched a couple of basic back and forth moves, and the audience seemed all set to make him hear their thoughts (read expletives).

However, Rey quickly engineered a scenario where the two Superstars were entangled in a fist contest near the turnbuckle. In a moment that would have surely gotten too awkward to escape if it lasted even a moment longer, Mysterio could be clearly seen giving some instructions to Logan while the two men stood without movement for a good 8 seconds.

Thankfully for Logan, the match was a solid 3/5 from this point onwards. For all the hate he gets. the young guy responded well to the veteran's well-timed mid-match tuition.

As for Rey, this is surely looking like one of the best runs he has had in the WWE. Mind you, the guy is 50 and he is moving much better than so many of the current lot. He sells for young guys, puts them over, and competes in gruelling matches, sometimes twice a week!

For those of us who have been watching this sport long enough, it's tough for these kinds of veterans to come by (wink, wink current ROH World Champion). If only WWE can book Dragon Lee better, Rey's run would prove fruitful in creating a legitimate successor who has all the chops to make it big. That, of course, is a discussion for another day.

As for now, what do you think of this small botch by Logan? Would you like more such unseen moments broken down by us? Let us know!
